Troubleshooting # 1058 The Easy Way

In some cases, your computer may display an error message with error number 1058. This problem can have several causes. Error 1058: The service could not be started because it is probably disabled because it has not been assigned enabled hardware. This error mainly manifests itself due to an abrupt termination of the service due to an availability conflict or a change in settings.
How do you fix the service Cannot be started either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices?
Click “Start” and then “System Controls”.Open Administrative Tools.Open services.Scroll down and double-click the appropriate service.On the General tab, next to Startup type, make sure the service is not disabled.

If the service stops suddenly, you may receive the following error message:
Error 1058. The service could not be created because it is disabled or no enabled devices are connected to it.
You may also receive this error message when you try to start the service.
This issue can occur if the service is disabled or if the service is disabled according to the hardware profile that is currently in use.

Can not enable Windows Update service?
Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter.Check for malware.Restart Windows Update related services.Delete all SoftwareDistribution folders.Update your device drivers.

If the service is indeed disabled, click the startup type, click the list, and select an option other than Disabled.

Double click the service instead of starting it.
Why does Windows Update keep disabling?
This version of Windows Update is permanently disabled. This can only happen due to a corrupted file that Windows Update itself trusts, or due to incompatibility factors with a third-party antivirus on your Windows 11/10 computer.
Click the “Connection” tab.
Make sure the service is not disabled for some of the hardware profiles thatThe ones you use. If the service is disabled for someone’s hardware profile, click Enable.
Go to the General tab and type in Start to make sure your plan is not disabled. If the plan is disabled, click Automatic to start it when you start your computer.
If the service was configured to start automatically, the remaining service for the machine profile you are using will be disabled, plans will not start and no error rates will be generated.

3. In the right pane of the service name directory, set the Start DWORD Registry (REG_DWORD) parameter to a value other than 4. You can create 3 for manual mode or 2 for automatic.
